This Notice is provided pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). It applies solely to visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California (“consumers” or “you”).

This document explains what categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, and whether we “sell” or “share” that information.

1. Our Roles under CCPA

To understand how we handle your data, please note our legal status:

1.1. VIGO as a “Business” (Merchant of Record).

When you register a Partner account or make a payment for a Digital Good on leadfilter.ca, VIGO ONLINE GROUP acts as a Business. We determine why and how your account and billing data is processed (e.g., for tax compliance).

1.2. VIGO as a “Service Provider”.

When you take a Quiz created by one of our Partners, VIGO acts as a Service Provider. We process your answers and contact details solely on behalf of the Partner (who is the “Business” in that context). We do not use this data for our own purposes.

2. Categories of Personal Data We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information within the last 12 months:

  1. Identifiers
  • Examples: Real name, email address, IP address, unique personal identifier, account name.
  • Purpose: Account creation, fraud prevention, delivery of digital goods.
  1. Commercial Information
  • Examples: Records of digital products purchased, transaction history.
  • Note: We do not store full credit card numbers (processed via Stripe).
  • Purpose: Transaction processing, tax compliance (MoR obligations).
  1. Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity
  • Examples: Browsing history on leadfilter.ca, interaction with our web application, logs.
  • Purpose: Security monitoring, debugging, platform improvement.
  1. Geolocation Data
  • Examples: Approximate location derived from IP address.
  • Purpose: Tax calculation (VAT/Sales Tax) and fraud detection.
  1. Professional or Employment-Related Information
  • Examples: Business name, industry (if provided by Partners during registration).
  • Purpose: B2B communication and account verification.

3. Purposes of Use

We use the collected personal information for the following business purposes:

  1. Transactional Fulfillment: Processing payments and delivering the purchased Digital Goods (Quiz Access/Credits).
  2. Security & Fraud Prevention: Detecting security incidents, protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity (e.g., “card testing”).
  3. Debugging: Identifying and repairing errors that impair existing intended functionality.
  4. Account Management: Customer support and relationship management.
  5. Legal Compliance: Complying with tax laws and responding to legal requests.

4. “Sale” or “Sharing” of Personal Information

We DO NOT sell your Personal Information.

4.1. No Sale.

VIGO ONLINE GROUP does not sell personal data to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. We are a SaaS platform and Merchant of Record; our business model is based on transaction fees, not data monetization.

4.2. No Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising.

We do not “share” your personal information with third parties for the purpose of cross-context behavioral advertising.

4.3. Limited Sharing with Service Providers.

We disclose information to trusted third parties (Service Providers) solely for business purposes:

  • Stripe: For payment processing.
  • Cloud Hosting (AWS/Google): For data storage.
  • Email Vendors: For sending receipts and login codes.
    These providers are contractually prohibited from retaining, using, or disclosing the information for any purpose other than performing the services for us.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary:

  • Transaction Records: 7 years (Required by Tax Law).
  • Account Data: For the duration of the account’s life.
  • Quiz/Lead Data: Until the Partner (Business) instructs us to delete it or closes their account.

6. Your Rights (California Residents)

Under CCPA/CPRA, you have the specific rights regarding your personal information:

6.1. Right to Know. You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell.

6.2. Right to Delete. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information (subject to exceptions for legal/tax records).

6.3. Right to Correct. You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information.

6.4. Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

6.5. Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Data. We generally do not collect sensitive personal information (like SSN) directly. If a Partner collects this via a Quiz, you must contact the Partner directly.
